MultiCam Rapid Shape ™ can automatically digitize complicated shapes. This device, mounted on any MultiCam router, enables the router to automatically follow an edge of a pattern or object placed on the router bed and record the outline on the host PC. Easy and accurate calibration makes digitizing a variety of materials possible. The Rapid Shape software generates a G-code file for importing to many CAD/CAM systems. Digitizing speeds of 60 inches-per-minute are typical. Rapid Shape is ideal for solid surface manufacturers who need to trace counter top templates, but who do not want to deal with the time and error associated with manual digitizing interfaces.
